What's your approach to rules?

Follow them diligently. They exist for a reason. (mostly) Rules are suggestions. Or challenges to be creatively broken if they're dumb. "What rules? Oh, THOSE rules..." (often forgets or bends them for fun/friends) Understand the rules to know how to operate effectively within (or around) them.
