Standard physical photographs degrade quite rapidly when exposed to ultraviolet light, humidity, and the acidic chemicals inside cheap albums. True archival preservation requires dark storage and strictly acid-free materials. When preserved correctly, a cherished physical print can confidently survive for several centuries.
