Halima Cissé from Mali made history in May 2021 when she gave birth to nine babies—five girls and four boys. Initially believed to be expecting septuplets, the nonuplets were delivered by C-section in Morocco after she was transferred for specialist care. All nine babies survived, setting a new world record.
