The Hurrian Hymn No. 6 is the world's oldest surviving musical composition, etched into a clay tablet over 3,400 years ago in ancient Syria. Written in cuneiform, the tablet provides actual instructions for playing the song on a nine-stringed lyre. This rare artifact allows modern musicians to play the exact same notes that echoed through Bronze Age temples.
