John F. Kennedy Jr. was photographed loading luggage onto his Piper Saratoga aircraft at Essex County Airport in New Jersey on July 16, 1999. Later that evening, the plane, also carrying his wife Carolyn Bessette and her sister Lauren, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
