In 1991, Munira Abdulla suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car crash while shielding her young son. For 27 years, she remained in a vegetative state, unresponsive to the world. In 2018, following intensive therapy in Germany, she began to make sounds and ultimately regained consciousness, calling out for her son, Omar.
