When 8-year-old Elec Majerus was diagnosed with leukemia, his mother Shawna soon learned she had breast cancer too. The two from Petaluma faced grueling treatments side by side, fighting not just for survival but for each other. Now cancer-free, Elec is back in school and Shawna says they’re both “truly happy to be here.”
