Prosopagnosia

About 2% of the population suffers from prosopagnosia, a neurological condition that makes them unable to recognize faces. People with extreme cases cannot even identify their own spouses or children in favorite family photographs. They rely instead on recognizing loved ones by their posture, clothing, or the context of the picture.
