Eidetic Memory

True eidetic memory, the ability to perfectly recall an image long after seeing it, is found almost exclusively in young children. A child with this ability can look at a dense family portrait once and continue to see it in their mind's eye for several minutes. Fascinatingly, this ability almost always fades entirely as they grow into adults.
