After his owner, John Gray, died in 1858, a Skye Terrier named Bobby spent the next 14 years guarding his master's grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh. Through harsh Scottish winters, he refused to leave his post, kept alive by the kindness of townspeople who were moved by his unwavering devotion. A statue now immortalizes his incredible loyalty.
