Danger in the Nursery

For years, drop-side cribs were a standard, convenient feature for parents, allowing one side to slide down for easier access to the baby. However, the hardware was prone to breaking, creating a dangerous gap where an infant could get trapped and suffocate. After being linked to dozens of deaths, the U.S. banned the manufacture and sale of these cribs in 2011.
