Japanese engineer Tsutomu Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on business when the first atomic bomb detonated, leaving him with severe burns. He traveled back to his home in Nagasaki two days later. Incredibly, he was reporting the first blast to his boss when the second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, and he survived that one too.
