Held hostage for two days by her armed boyfriend, a Florida woman convinced him their dog was sick and needed a vet. At the clinic, she passed a note to a staff member that read, "Call the cops. My boyfriend is threatening me. He has a gun." The staff calmly alerted 911, and police arrived to arrest the man and rescue the woman.
